The New Sister Program introduces prospective members to The Noble Circle Project, its approach to well-being, and the idea of "thriving beyond cancer." This transformative experience begins with the New Sister Retreat.

NEW SISTER RETREAT

The New Sister Program begins with an expense-free weekend retreat for women at the beautiful Quaker Hill Conference Center in Richmond, Indiana.

Retreat participants are introduced to a group of loving volunteers, all Noble Circle sisters, who have walked this path before them. The three pillars guide Noble Circle's approach to well-being through:

  • Nutritional education classes, cooking techniques and the opportunity to enjoy delicious, healthy meals or snacks that embrace the whole foods eating style .
  • Complimentary energy classes, such as qigong, meditation and guided imagery. And individual energy sessions with professional practitioners of massage, reflexology, reiki,  and sound energy.
  • Peer support dialogs, led by a trained facilitator along with   opportunities for one-on-one conversations with other participants and volunteers who have previously completed the New Sister Program

Additional activities often include an art project, guided meditation, drumming, walks on the beautiful retreat center grounds and more.

The New Sister Retreat is offered twice a year:

Fall 2024: September 13-15, 2024

Spring 2025: March 14-16, 2025

THE 7-WEEK PATHWAY TO WELL-BEING

The in-depth New Sister Retreat is followed by seven weeks of Thursday evening classes, 5:30-9:15 PM held at the Noble Circle Center.

Each week the New Sisters will:

  • Continue to learn about and practice qigong
  • Share a healthy meal
  • Learn more about the three pillars through presentations on a wide variety of topics, such as understanding carbs and fats, coping with fear, journaling, nutritional supplements, and recipe makeovers.
  • Come together with others in an intimate, small group led by a trained facilitator to address issues and questions that women face who are living with a cancer diagnosis.

During these transformative weeks, each woman tracks her own progress and practices new lifestyle skills.

At the end of the program, participants are recognized as official Noble Circle Sisters and introduced the other members of Project Sisterhood, our year-round program that offers continued learning and being a part of an ongoing cancer support group.

The Pathway to Well-Being Program immediately follows
the New Sister Retreat.

Fall 2024: Thursdays, Sept 19 - Oct 31, 2024

Spring 2025: Thursdays, Mar 20 - May 1, 2025

  • Try innovative and mindful approaches to deal with stress and centering your focus.
  • Give and receive positive support regardless of where others are on their own journey with cancer.
  • Act on the belief that by helping others, you help yourself.
